All I know is that life is a series of choices, and that you have to keep making them.
— Joël Dicker, The Truth About The Harry Quebert Affair

As a Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education teacher, my aim is to help equip children and young people with the knowledge, awareness, skills, critical thinking and character strengths necessary for making autonomous decisions about their lives.

This work has led to leading the subject at multi-academy trust level, speaking at conferences, writing resources for a PSHE education company and contributing to a number of publications, one of which is Developing Quality PSHE in Secondary Schools and Colleges, which I co-edited with Victoria Pugh. In my current school I also established Change Your Mind, a personal development programme for 16/17 year-olds which since 2019 has expanded across the UK and beyond.

Please get in touch if you are working in secondary education and are interested in any of the following:

  • Training webinars on teaching PSHE through a Transactional Analysis lens and behaviour management through a Transactional Analysis lens

  • Bespoke workshops for your PSHE drop-down days

  • PSHE consultancy

  • A speaker on PSHE or Relationships, Sex and Health Education for your conference or event

  • Contributors to your forthcoming book, blog, podcast or article

I am also a qualified First Aid instructor and offer First Aid enrichment days to primary and secondary school pupils (1-3 hour slots available within reasonable travelling distance from Walsall), or Level 3 First Aid qualifications to any learners aged 14+, including staff.
